Beta #3

At 19dpo (or 16dpt3dt) my third and final beta was 971 - for a doubling time of 42hrs.  I am still paranoid this is low or not a quick enough doubling time, even though all websites I read say a normal doubling time is every 48-72hrs.  I need to stop googling blogs and different forums!  Everyone is different... so I need to stop comparing!  It is just stressing me out!  Anywho- ultrasound is scheduled for next Wednesday... this is going to be a LONG week!

My mom is soo funny.  Her and I are super close.  She has come in for at least one part of each IVF process (after the first one, she came in for the transfer, and after this one she came in after my retrieval - since my hubby couldn't really take off work afterwards).  She knows everything - and I pretty much talk to her on a daily basis.  She was the second (and only) person I told after my first positive pregnancy test.  After talking to my husband about the results of my betas, I always call my mom next.  Today I was talking with her- telling her my concerns about my numbers.  She started reading off all these blogs about ladies who have similar numbers to what I have had who have gone on to have healthy pregnancies, and even twins!  She told me today that she is officially addicted to reading infertility blogs- and that is pretty much all she has been doing everyday for the past week!  I told her, I know exactly how it is - because I was there too- especially after we were diagnosed and told IVF was our only hope!  I just hope she doesn't accidentally come across my blog! :)

Here is a pic of me and my mom...
People say we look like sisters/twins... she has always loved that! :)

Those are great numbers - way better than I ever had (trust me, if I had seen or heard a number that high, I would have been screaming and jumping for joy).

Relax and enjoy - it will all be fine, I'm sure.

Such a darling picture! I know what you mean....the waiting to the first ultrasound is the WORST!! But, hang in there and rest in the fact that the numbers are rising! Over the past few weeks....I just tried to concentrate on the positives...my beta doubled, I have PG symptoms, I am not bleeding, I am not cramping, etc. I think that's important....concentrating on the things that are telling you everything is moving along as it should. Don't worry if you don't have anything to worry about! My RE told me....the vast majority of pregnancies are completely normal. Rest in that fact...

I am stopping by for ICLW week and I understand how reading blogs and the internet can drive a person mad. I went through a phase where I looked everything up and was pretty sure if i didn't stop, I would go cu-ckoo!! Good Luck and I will send positive thoughts your way! It is so exciting and scary all at the same time but I agree, with post above, enjoy it!

That's funny. I don't share my blog with my mom either. Good luck with your ultrasound. Will be looking forward to an update!

I'm obsessive with betas and have been doing IVF cycles since 2008. Your numbers are absolutely fine. I know it's impossible, but try not to worry. Your doubling time is great too.

Congratulations! Try to enjoy this (easier said than done, I know).

Yes, google is not your friend- that's a great doubling time. I've had a higher time than that with my last set of twin. Wishing you a happy 9 months!

Hello from ICLW! You and your mom definitely look like you could be sisters/twins! I worried for a long time that my mom would come across my blog, and then, one day I decided that I didn't care any more. She knows everything for the most part anyways, why not let her in. I sent her the link, and there has been nothing but support ever since. Writing has always been my way of getting things off my chest, and coping, and my blog has really been that one thing to keep me sane.

Hope all goes well! And your numbers really don't sound bad at all!

Stopping by from ICLW. Congrats on your BFP and rest assured that your doubling times are great and those are beautiful healthy numbers. I am 22 weeks with twins and by fourth (yes I couldn't stop) beta's doubling time was only 46 hours, so hang in there.

Now it is only one more sleep until your scan, good luck. May you have a perfect healthy stress free pregnancy.

Your numbers sound great to me. Mine started out pretty low but everything went fine, so you're right, everyone is just very different. It's almost time for your ultrasound and I hope you've made it through the last week okay. Good luck and enjoy!
