day after retrieval
22 eggs retrieved yesterday. Such a HUGE difference between this center and my old center. Today I got the report that 20 eggs were mature and 17 fertilized normally. Because of those numbers we are looking at a five day transfer probably- but we'll see tomorrow and the next day as to how they are growing. When transferring five day blasts out center highly recommends transferring only one. I'm scared to death of doing that! I'm scared of having twins and the risks that come with that (not to mention-I really don't think I'm organized enough to have twins! ) but I'm also scared of transferring one and it not working! Ack! Advice needed (if anyone still reads! )

That's a tough one..we transferred 2 and I barely gave it any thought - and then was terrified it was twins!!! Luckily it was only one :-). However twins is certainly better than no baby--but I think they say transferring two barely ups the chances of pregnancy anyway??

great report! we did two at a 5-day transfer and got twins....twins is def not for the faint of heart! are you freezing, because doing a FET if (and only if because it WILL WORK) is a lot easier and cheaper than a fresh round...
