Still here...

Sooo, 12 weeks tomorrow. I guess I should start believing this is really happening. Still can't really wrap my head around it- and still nervous something bad will happen. As far as symptons- a crappy feeling at night, migraines multiple times a week ( which I think is the worse symptom I have had), and a heightened gag reflex ( which isn't good when you work in an ICU with lots if interesting smells). I have always had a pretty flat stomach ( before starting IVF and the weight gain that went with two cycles)... so even though my clothes still fit- they are not comfortable and I definitely don't think look good! I'm just not ready for maternity clothes! My mom- who is very petite said she started wearing maternity clothes around the 12th-14th week- so we'll see. Lucky for me I wear scrubs for a living!!!

I had my NT scan yesterday (any excuse for an extra ultrsound). The tech said everything looked fine- and we should have our results by Friday or Monday... we'll see. The way she zoomed in in the face made me think it looked like an alien!!

I had my first official scan with the OB at 10wks4days- the baby measured 11 wks and had a Heartrate of 171. Next OB appointment isn't for another week- it seems like forever away!!!!!! Tomorrow is the last day for progesterone too. I am kinda scared to stop it just like that... I'll prob call the RE just to double check...

I have a question for all you ladies who have rented dopplers... what kind and where did you rent them from? I would like to buy- but my husband thinks its a little crazy I want one to begin with- so spending $450 on one is out of the question... Some of the websites I was in required a doctor's prescription. What did ya'll do??

I am doing this blog post from my phone- and I'm going to try to upload our ultrasound pictures from 10wks4days- hopefully it works!!

Hopefully you all have a good weekend. If you are living in the nirtheast- I hope you have been staying dry! We have gotten about 8inches of rain over the last few says- and didn't really believe in flash floods until I almost got swept away yesterday- but that's for another post!

I was beginning to wonder about you again!!! =)

Glad you are doing well and baby is growing perfectly!

I did the doppler thing, over 6 yrs ago. I have no idea what site I used. I did NOT need a doc prescription, but mine would have gladly done it. I think it was about $25 a month and I kept it for 3-4 months. I think until I knew my son's movements etc. Stress is worse than checking and having that peace of mind. I say DO IT! I do agree buying one might be a bit silly...Given your history, i cannot imagine your doc not prescribing it if you need to go with a site that requires it.

I got the Hi Bebe Pro 3MHZ for 139.00
I can't tell you how well it works because I just found out I was hearing my Heartbeat instead of the twins all this time!! The Dr. tried with his doppler and still couldn't find them, only with the U/S. I'm 11 weeks 2 days. I gave my friend this same doppler as a present when she was 16 weeks and she can hear her baby just fine.

Yay for 12 weeks! I uyst hit 15 today and still feel like it is not real... No sure when that feeling goes away! I just got a doppler last week from Baby Beats and spent $120 for 3 months... I figure maybe after 3 months I will be able to feel the baby and not need it??.. My Hubby thought I was nuts too but it sure has given me piece of mind for the last week... I love it!

Congrats on 12 weeks!! i'm still trying to get there! Look at your beautiful baby!!!!!

I am so happy for you. I hope those migraines let up though. Is your water intake good? I seem to get headaches as soon as i let up even a little on my water intake.

I bought--I got a Sonoline B used from ebay for about $30. New, they're about $60. It works just fine. The heartbeat counter is probably inaccurate, but it gives you a general idea. I'm very pleased with it, especially since it was way cheaper than renting!
